Ken Harper is a Consultant and Specialist in Restorative Dentistry, based at
the Department of Continuing Professional Development at the Eastman Dental Institute. He consults for us at White Dental on all aspects of restorative dentistry.
Dr Ken Harper is registered with the General Dental Council on four specialist lists as a specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Periodontics.
Ken graduated with BDS with Honours in 1983 from Edinburgh University Dental School with the Gold Medal. After 2 years hospital training, he spent 19 years in the Royal Air Force during which time he undertook his specialist training including an MSc in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and Consultant specialist training in Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s Dental Hospital.
Ken ‘retired’ from the RAF in 2004 to take up his current Consultant post at the Eastman. As well as teaching, Ken now works in private practice and enjoys managing complex multidisciplinary and aesthetic cases, often involving complex reconstruction or replacement of the teeth by implants, crowns, bridges or veneers, whichever is most appropriate. Based on his interdisciplinary specialist Consultant training and general practice experience, the most appropriate restorative approach can be chosen.
He also attained his specialist Restorative Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS (Rest Dent)) and Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) from the Royal College of Surgeons as well as Membership in General Dental Surgery (MGDS) of the Royal College of Surgeons, and Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FFGDP(UK)).
