Chiswick Orthodontist

Introducing: Ilias Marinopoulos

Ilias graduated from the University of Athens Dental School, Greece in 2002 and worked in a general dental practice and a military hospital for 3 years. During this period, he formed an interest in Orthodontics and in 2005 chose to spend time at one of the most respected universities in his field, the Royal University of Aarhus, Denmark. While there he undertook an intensive short term orthodontic program, with a particular focus on complicated adult orthodontic cases.

Following his experiences in Denmark, Ilias made a decision to broaden his knowledge of dentistry by coming to work in England and joined a dental practice in East Sussex.

Further training in Orthodontics followed – in 2006 he underwent specialist registrar training at another prestigious facility – the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Ilias concluded his specialised studies in 2009 and finished with his MSc degree in 2010. He combined his studies with work in the Odontologen clinic at the Sahlgrenska Academy and a prestigious private clinic in Gothenburg.

Ilias can and does offer a range of orthodontic treatments, including the ’six (6) month smile ®’ programme, or the ‘twelve (12) month’ smile programme. He uses a variety of tools including the Incognito invisible brace system, Inman Aligner and Damon System, among others.

Ilias replaced our previous orthodontist, Dr Kerstin Petersen, in November 2010.
